Hibachi Japanese Steak House in Jenkintown

Very old and outdated on the inside. Smells like mildew. Typical hibachi food. Drinks are good!

Food is always mouth wateringly delicious. My wife and I go at least once a month! My college friend and I more than that sometimes.

They give a nice amount of food but they only give broccoli and the broccoli was not good at all . The sauce was kind of salty and they were very slow with my order I was told 25min and waited well over that . Overall I wouldn’t recommend this location For take out .

The inside decor could use an update. Carpets and chairs look worn. That is the bad. Everything else...the service, the chef, the food & prices are 5 stars. Really enjoyed our chef. He was straight business. Didnt do as many food tricks as other guys but the meal he cooked was fabulous. He cooked for our large group in minutes. He made a few jokes that had our table laughing. Service was excellent the young lady checked on us several times to make sure we had everything. If they would hire somebody to come in there and decorate this place would be 6 stars

Not very entertaining. Chef did very little. Just threw shrimp after he cooked.

This is clearly one of the most pleasant place to eat in the region. Anytime I go there I am incredibly happy. They manage their very high standard service and the topmost level of cooking they give. You surely will enjoy this this place. Highly recommended.

The food is what's expected from Hibachi, cook to order, the chef put on a good presentation. However, the restaurant is very dated. It could be a good place due to it's location but management needs to reevaluate it's business model and invest in upgrades to the establishment.

This was a take-out order. The salmon was so over cooked that is was crispy. The broccoli was under cooked. The noodles and fried rice has so salty I had to throw it in the trash. The salad was the only component of the meal that was satisfying.

I ordered dinner from there last night and the rice was horrible and starchy.....I believe they will only cook the rice good when you are actually sitting inside the restaurant.... the food is never the same or as good when you order take out.... this is not the first occasion where I received low grade food due to take out. Please do not order take out from this place... just dine in.... also you get your full meal when you dine in....i was missing the normal vegetable portions also. I was truly disappointed with this meal.

I was debating if I should eat there. It needs maintenance. The rugs were bad. The fish pond was ghetto. The layout was a little strange as customers can walk right by the cooks. The cook spilled a little bit of the food in the lower edge of the grill and just scooped it up and served it anyway which I guess is okay but I'm not sure. The walls and ceiling need to be cleaned. I didn't see anything out right dirty but it was sketchy.

Not generally impressed with the hibachi side. But the sushi, oh man. I could eat the volcano roll and die happy. Haven't been able to find anything like it elsewhere.

Food was great. Not much of a show from the hibachi chef though. The highlight of the dining experience was the flaming volcano cocktail.

The chef and the food were good. The rest of the service was very sub-par, seemed that none of the staff besides the chefs were trained properly. Felt dirty and dingy too. Will not return.

The food was delicious and our chef was excellent entertainment .

Our family really enjoyed our visit. We will definitely be visiting again.

Favorite sushi spot for the hubby and I.

I brought my son here last night to have a fun interactive experience because school has been stressing him. Our guy comes out and starts cooking the food. I'm assuming he is starting to prepare before he gets entertaining... We sit there waiting... The food is all cooked and he puts it on our plate then does the shrimp throw trick and leaves! Seriously! There was no laughing or fun little jokes. He tossed some shrimp and left. I don't know how this is acceptable especially when paying such high prices. If I wanted to sits and watch a man cook I would make my husband cook at home and get more entertainment. The salad was delicious, the steak was good but the chicken was a little bland. With the experience I had I will not be coming back. It's unfortunate because it's close to home.

Chef was not as fun as usual, but the food was good as usual

My very first time trying this place the food was very very salty the drinks that I ordered there was no alcohol in it it was watered down to pay 750 for a drink the chef was absolutely cool and funny will I ever come back to this place again absolutely not

Chef made our food fast & fun. Very delicious Shrimp Teriyaki. Wait staff is pretty good as well

The first time I went it was nice experience , although dark ambience. Went 2nd time, it was bad. The food was salty. Chef just came and cooked no signature hibachi trick like the Columbus Ave branch. Food was not worth the price. Wont be going back. At least not this branch.

This place is wonderful, perfect to bring kids or family for a nice family dinner. Prices cannot be beat and the service is on par with the best restaurants I have been to. I have been recommending this restaurant for years and people always thank me for recommending. If i could i would rate it 10 stars.

Great food n service

Food was good, we got sushi rolls as apps and hibachi. Salad dressing is so good. But lettuce wasn't the freshest, lots of brown spots. The waitress was nice and all the staff was nice. It's ashame the location is so run down and seemed on the dirty side. After dinner, we noticed dirty dishes stacked on a cart in the hallway on the way to the bathroom. The bathroom seemed to have issues in both working stalls, 2 stalls were locked - I assume they don't work either. Only one sink worked. I left without using after I saw all that. Made me wonder if kitchen is fully functioning? I don't think we'll be back.

I ordered from Hibachi's this evening on DoorDash. When the food arrived the bags were not sealed and were clearly never tied or taped to be secured. The food containers while "new" according the manager were not sealed or secured either. I contacted DoorDash and they were very helpful but when I talked to the manager at Hibachi's he put the blame on the driver for not making sure the bags were tied. I have been going to Hibachi's for many years and I am disappointed with the lack of care especially during these times.

The entrance can be tricky to find They offer AYCE Sushi which is a plusMy chef seemed drunk, he dropped an egg upon arriving at the table. He did very little tricks or interaction, it was actually quite boring.Very disappointed that my fiancée’s first experience with live hibachi cooking was here.ALSO THEY DO NOT SERVE WHITE SAUCEThat’s correct the “yum yum” sauce we’ve all grown accustom to with our hibachi is not offered here

I'll give it's a five stars because 1 I live there sushi and two to be honest I love the decorations and the entire setup there waiters are nice and recommend the best options for you based on your order or if you give them a taste of what you might want if you don't know exactly what you want uwu(*Cough cough* it's hard for me to choice what to eat at restaurants because I never know exactly what I want to order and I'm sure there a whole load of people like me owo)

Great spot for families. Everyone loves the skills and cooking performances of hibachi.Prices are moderate and there's a kids menu. Good quality and generous portions. Give Hibachi of Jenkintown a try.

I usually am so In love with this place but today I must say I was very unpleased. Came here with my family of 12 two separate tables which was fine so that was 2 separate bills . Our cook was entirely the worst entertainer ever . I mean isn’t that the purpose of us sitting in? For entertainment.. well he lacked it all the way . No smile no jokes not a single word out of him . We continued with our meal then once we received the bill we see that they automatically charged $30 on for the tip . I’m huge on tipping especially when well deserved but that was extreme for someone who didn’t say a peep . Next time I will definitely request another waitress

It would normally be 5 but it seems as though you get less food now
